We love making pens.  They are so practical. Their size allows us to work with so many different types of local and exotic hardwoods.

MY SISTER’S FAVORITE COLOR WAS PINK.  IN REMEMBRANCE OF HER, WE MADE PINK EARRINGS.  THIS PAIR IS STABILIZED, PINK DYED, CURLY MAPLE WITH STERLING SILVER POSTS.

My sister’s memorial ear rings were so loved.  We started making more.  Spalted Maple, Flame Box Elder, Oak & Maple Burls along with Exotic African woods like Gabon Ebony, Limba, Sapele, Tamarind,  and Padauk allow lots of choices.

HAND TURNED OPENERS PAIR WELL WITH PREMIUM BOTTLED BEVERAGES.

This one is curly maple so the so the pattern in the wood appears different as the viewing angle changes.

BOTTLE STOPPER TURNED USING EXOTIC AFRICAN LIMBA.

We believe hand turned bottle stoppers are great choices for wine or kitchen oils.   They look great and are easier than re-corking.   Also, they make great replacements tops for the cooking oils containers which decorate kitchen counters.

LIVE EDGE CHARCUTERIE TRAY’S

This is 1 of 4 Walnut, Padauk, and Monkey Pod live edge charcuterie trays with cast handles donated to Hearts For Music.    3 were given to the people who share their time and love with the special needs orchestra members.   The other was to be used by Hearts for Music to promote the work they are doing.   What a gift for us a crafters.  Supporting Hearts for Music as they love and help the special needs orchestra members helping them feel loved and appreciated as they perform as thier gift to us.

TREMBLE SEWING MACHINE DESK

Outstanding Quality

My wife loves and has fond memories of tremble sewing machines.   We took the base off a non functioning machine and made this desk to go under our family photos in our eating area.   The top is End Grain Cherry and Ambrosia Maple edged with locally harvested face grain Hickory

END GRAIN CHARCUTERIE BOARDS

Outstanding Quality

These boards are rectangular, so they are slightly off 12 x 12.    At 1.5” thick so they are solid and substantial, but light enough to easily handle.  We typically use exotic woods like Black & White Limba, African Mahogany,  and Honduran Majogany combined with domistic hardwoods such as Ash, Maple, Cherry or Walnut.    To get the patterns we have to make them in lots.    We use Real Milk Company Tung Oil as a finish because we want something all natural that will protect and last longer than cutting board oils.

STATEMENT FACE GRAIN CHARCUTERIE  BOARD

These Large Face Grain Boards are statement pieces.  They typically are around 12” wide and range from 16-18” long.    Being close to 1.75” thick they typically weight 5-8 pounds.    Wood selection varies, but it includes a variety of domestic and exotic hardwoods.   This one is Ambrosia Maple and Cherry.

ARTISTIC LIVE EDGE CHARCUTERIE BOARDS

Outstanding Quality

We enjoy making Artistic Live Edge Charcuterie Borads.  We usually use stock ranging from 3/4 to 1 1/4” thick with lengths ranging from 12 - 24 inches.  We have made them with and without carved handles.  They are great make great decorations but are also useful lap boards.  This one is Wormy Chestnut, Green Popular, Padauk, and Maple with a tree of life wood burning accent.

EXOTIC WOOD AND BURL TOTEM PENDANT

Burl wood is wood which is highly figured by the trees response to stress.    It prized by woodturners and crafters, but difficult for us to get.   We believe the Burl in this pendent is Walnut.   The face of the totem features the irregular Burl growth under the bark and the side showcase the prized feature patterns within burl.

Custom Exotic Burl Wood Totem Pendent.  Backed with a strip of walnut featuring the Sap Wood - Heart Wood Transition and topped with Ebony

EBONY LETTER OPENER

Outstanding Quality

I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to recreate this.  I had a piece of live edge Ebony.   The live edge formed the rough shape for the edge portion of this opener while the handle is rounded.    It was rewarding to work with such a rare exotic wood and craft this unique edge piece.

WALNUT AND MAPLE COASTERS

Outstanding Quality

We wanted a way to display and feature the classic wood combination of Maple and Walnut.   We find coaster offer a practical way to showcase this beautify wood combination.

Untitled

DOG PAW OR DOG BONE CHARCUTERIE BOARDS

We’ve made these out of other woods, but or favorites are the ones with dog bone or dog paw oak boards.  Sometimes we enhance them with wood burning.    Please remember to support your local shelters.

Untitled

CURLY MAPLE LIVE EDGE ACCENT TABLES

Outstanding Quality

I was able to acquire some curly maple cast off’s from the music instrument manufacturing industry.   Most people seem to use them for boards, but we were able to use them for accent tables.    They are sized to be suitable to sit next to your furniture, but still easily moved as needed within your living space.
